Welcome! It’s my pleasure to meet you and share a bit about myself, the artisan behind Shirley's Designs Handcrafted Jewelry.

Born and raised in vibrant Riverside, California, I’m undeniably a Cali girl at heart! My passion for fashion and culture has always guided my artistic journey. From my early days as a little girl transforming my mom's vintage jewelry into imaginative pieces for my dolls, I was captivated by colors, shapes, and patterns—and intrigued by their origins.

My love for design led me to study at the esteemed Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM). I began my journey in Orange, CA, and graduated with honors in San Francisco. My Visual Communication and Space Design degree was fueled by curiosity about consumer behavior—what captures attention, influences purchases, and leaves lasting impressions.

Following graduation, I joined a dynamic visual merchandising role with one of San Francisco's leading retailers. However, life soon presented challenges through repeated layoffs. Instead of succumbing to setbacks, I seized the opportunity to channel my creative skills into jewelry-making. Inspired by nature and equipped with self-taught techniques, I began crafting distinctive jewelry pieces from natural gemstones and high-quality materials for friends and family.

Driven by my entrepreneurial spirit, I returned to school to study Small Business Management & Entrepreneurship at the University of Phoenix. Fully prepared, I established Shirley's Designs, a business that creates extraordinary, personalized, and unforgettable jewelry.

I've cultivated meaningful connections within the entrepreneurial community through programs like the Bank of America Women's Entrepreneurship and Wells Fargo Milestone Circle for Women Entrepreneurs. Today, every customer relationship evolves into a cherished part of the Shirley's Designs family. My greatest joy is delivering uniquely personalized keepsake jewelry that resonates profoundly and becomes treasured forever.
